Nick became a member of the Carpenters Union on June 16, 1983. In June 1998, he was elected Conductor on Local 26's Executive Board and most recently elected as Vice President. In June of 1999 he was appointed Business Representative and in 2002 was promoted Business Manager of Carpenters Local Union 26.

Nick most currently holds office as The Co-Secretary/Treasurer of the Northeast MA Carpenters Apprenticeship and Training Fund. He is a Treasurer of The North Reading Town Democratic Commitee and also serves as an elected Delegate to The New England Regional Council of Carpenters.

Lou Catanzaro

Lou became a member of Carpenters Local 218 on April 24, 1967 as a Carpenter Apprentice. He completed a 4 year training program and was upgraded to a Journeyman upon completion of his apprenticeship. Lou also served as carpenter foreman, superintendant, and project manager in the Boston Area before he was appointed Organizer of Carpenters Local Union 218 in 1990. After serving as Organizer, he was gradually promoted to Business Representative and then to New England Regional Council of Carpenters, Contractor Relations where he served for 10 years. As Contractor Relations Manager, he serviced union contractors in the six New England States. Most recently he has joined Local 26's family serving as Business Represenative/Organizer.  In the Spring of 2009 he was appointed Northeast Regional Manager covering Locals 26,111,275,&475.

Cindy Faro

Cindy became part of the Local 26 family on March 6, 2000. She is responsible for serving the members and contractors day to day, with dues payments, job references/out of work list, and many individual needs. She also serves as our office Bookkeeper handling all the finances of Carpenters Local Union 26.

The Monthly Stewards Meeting is held the 1st Thursday of every month at 4:30 pm at the Local 26 Business Office.  

 All stewards are required to maintain weekly steward reports for the project they are servicing.   Each report should be printed clearly and include the members's names, UBC #'s, and hours worked for each week.  THE UBC # for each carpenter MUST be WRITTEN on EVERY report you SUMBIT.

These reports are submitted to Local 26 at each stewards meeting.   These reports are then used to track hours for Local 26 to be sure they are being reported in the correct jurisdiction.   Accuracy on these reports are important.
